Welcome (Willkommen) back from Half term

After a lovely relaxation week during half term, the WISE Africa students are back in action!!!!!!!!!!!Along side our studies, we have enjoyed extra-curricular activities, like baking a marble cake, it was an awesome experiment also next time we need to increase our measurements of different ingredients. It was so tasty I wish you were there to help us eat it.

We are also learning how to grow crops, and for that we thought we need to be more practical. We have been assigned a small piece of land to grow two crops of our choices. We have to research about these different crops and attend to our land. We had to make speeches to convince the judges to give us the crops of our choices.
But first, we had to clear the land.

Setting up the speeches  for getting the land.

Catch you soon.

We have had this awesome English teacher arrive, her name is Miss Cerys. She has only be here a week and we have had enormous changes. Like for instance moved to a big much better classroom, well because it is bigger and we needed more room.

Had a change in the timetable, now we stop at 3pm like British school and have Co-curricular activities from 3:00pm-5pm. Like we baking, swimming, gardening, painting and art and craft.
More photos about on Friday or Thursday 7th November.

In the new class room, we got new computers with alot of resources school resources like Rachel, Scratch and so much more.

Pom-poms

Have you hard of pompoms before?
Pompoms are nice round, fluffy threaded creatures, that are very cute and adorable these were first invented in the 21 century by our Teacher Lynne.
You can make them big or small, depends on what you want, but it may take a while long making a big one and you can make them in your free time, they are also very easy to learn, how to make. We love pompoms so much we made more than 10 pompoms in all different sizes and had a bus made for them by David, we called the bus the Pompom express, taking Pompoms all over the world. And so far we have spread pompoms to North-eastern, Western and Central Uganda. Can't wait to flood the earth with pompoms. The Guinness Book of records holds the record of the bigges made Pompom here at Wellspring made by one of our Teacher Micheal and Smallest pompom by Deborah.
These are the Long awaited Pompoms

Before Exams started.

A few weeks ago we did revision for our exams!
Which are happening this week and the week after, the revision was so much fun, we would revise from 8:30 - 1:00pm, Math, English; we would revised the twelfth Night and Christmas carol to prepare for the exams, Geography, History; we learnt so much and understood a lot of British history from 1200 - 1918 and R.E.

After a hard days Revision, A nice photo.

It Was An Interesting Week

Who knew sports days in primary schools could be that interesting;
We happened to join our younger counterparts on their sports day at rest gardens Uganda. We walked with a band there on a rainy day, the roads were muddy and there was a lot of traffic jam but it was good enough to go through. We managed to reach rest gardens our destination safe and sound.
After a few hours of participating under the hot sun and joining in with the activities, the competitions ended. A meal and a soda were prepared by the school after the winners were announced. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place each groups each received trophies.
